Wow, I got so caught up so long now that I actually forgot this password to this account! Thank god I got it, and yes, the art will soon come. Promise!
Well, I put this on LiveJournal, so I might as well post this here cause I did give it some thought. It's in regards to Frasier's series finale! I have had a lot of time since finishing school now. I think I can finally just dedicate it to ART!
Quoted from Frasier's finale, which I just finished watching...
ULYSSES
Lord Alfred Tennyson
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
and tho' We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,--
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Frasier's thoughts:
He believed it meant while its tempting to play it safe, the more you are willing the risk, the more alive we are. In the end, what we regret most are the chances we never took.
I never really kept up with Frasier, but it just seems correct. How he breaks it down, its interesting because I just don't want to live with any regrets. Maybe it is time to take chances as they present themselves... its weird when you hear a message like that. You figure you could have thought about it all your life and realize that life is what you are willing to risk. I feel that being thrown into a new environment, that is a big risk, but it makes you that much more alive! I felt that when I moved to Toronto, its a pity now that the experience has shaken me to be less risky meaning that I'm also less alive. I feel that this is why I have become more bored and impatient with life in Calgary. I feel dead in this city. I need to find myself and move on...
thank you for being my friend.
